Dr (TCM) Attilio D'Alberto, acupuncturist in Camberley

Dr (TCM) Attilio D'Alberto has dedicated over 25 years of clinical practice to helping women achieve better health through traditional Chinese medicine — with particular expertise in fertility, hormonal health and the conditions that most affect women aged 30 to 50.

  • BSc (Hons) Traditional Chinese Medicine — Beijing University, China (2004)
  • Full five-year undergraduate degree in TCM acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine
  • Registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC)
  • Over 25 years of clinical practice
  • Author of My Fertility Guide and My Pregnancy Guide

A career built on women's health

While Dr D'Alberto's clinical expertise spans the full breadth of TCM practice, his career has been shaped by a particular calling: helping women navigate the most demanding health transitions of their lives. Fertility struggles, the demands of pregnancy, the often under-acknowledged challenges of perimenopause and menopause, the daily burden of conditions like PCOS and endometriosis — these are the areas in which he has developed his deepest clinical knowledge over 25 years of practice.

His published books — My Fertility Guide and My Pregnancy Guide — reflect this commitment. Both draw on his extensive clinical experience to offer women practical, evidence-informed guidance on using TCM to support their health at pivotal moments in their lives.

Education and training

Dr D'Alberto holds a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Beijing University in China, awarded following a demanding five-year full-time undergraduate programme. Beijing University is one of the world's foremost institutions for TCM training, and the degree he holds is equivalent in rigour and clinical depth to a Western medical degree.

His training covered the complete TCM system: acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, classical theory, dietary therapy and Tui Na. Since graduating in 2004, he has been in continuous clinical practice in the UK, building an expertise that encompasses both the traditional roots of Chinese medicine and the emerging evidence base that increasingly validates its effectiveness.

My patients often arrive feeling that their concerns haven't been fully heard or properly addressed. I want every woman who walks through the door to feel truly seen — and to leave with real answers and a real plan.

How your appointments work

Your first appointment lasts around an hour. Dr D'Alberto will take a thorough case history, exploring not just your presenting symptoms but the full context of your health — your energy, sleep, digestion, menstrual cycle, emotional state and lifestyle. He will assess your pulse and tongue using traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic methods, and from everything he has gathered, build a clear TCM diagnosis and personalised treatment plan.

Follow-up sessions last 45–60 minutes and allow for reassessment, conversation about your progress and refinement of your treatment. Many patients find that acupuncture becomes a valued part of their ongoing health maintenance long after their presenting condition has resolved.
