Your first consultation will include a case history followed by a treatment. The consultation and treatment will normal last about 1.5 hrs.  The case history provides valuable information about you and allows the practitioner to tailor the treatment specifically to your needs.  Please bring with you information on any medication you are taking, approximate dates of  illnesses, accidents and operations etc.  The practitioner will take your pulses on both wrists and also look at your tongue.  The pulse and tongue diagnosis gives important information and will be done at every treatment.  Your wrist pulses will also be taken during treatment as they provide feedback to the acupuncturist on how the treatment is progressing. Follow on treatments will normally take between 45 minutes to a hour.  

 

        Cost of a Treatment                           £40/per session.  

 

 

     Reduced treatment costs may be offered in certain circumstance.   

 

NOTE:  Only cheque or cash payment is accepted for treatment costs.

 

Some Health Insurance plans cover all or a percentage of the costs of acupuncture treatments.
